OSPRI

A fresh new website to support industry and governments in developing oil spill preparedness.

Project Overview

OSPRI is an oil industry initiative that brings together major industry investors and regional governments to encourage and support the promotion of oil spill preparedness in the Caspian Sea, Black Sea and Central Eurasia. NB was appointed to build a new and dynamic website that provides members with up-to-date information while encouraging more stakeholder engagement. The project involved developing a new content management system that makes it easier for OSPRI to upload information, including in the Russian language.

Background

OSPRI’s existing website was simple and basic, with the organisation keen to embrace a more exciting design. The site’s primary purpose is as a source of reliable information for stakeholders, but the information provided must also appeal to those outside the industry.

Challenge

To create a fresh-looking website to encourage better engagement with OSPRI members, governments, and oil and gas industry partners. Ensure up-to-date information is presented in a credible but clear way for those in the industry or with relevant environmental interests.

Solution

NB worked with OSPRI to devise a new logo and develop an easily navigable website with a clean and vibrant design. Clear calls-to-action were added to improve user experience and ensure visitors can easily find the information they require.

1

Engaging design

NB’s team created a bespoke design for the OSPRI website inspired by the organisation’s objectives of maintaining a pristine natural environment and preserving economic resources.
2

Guidance & reference listings

A new section was created giving organisations easy access to some of the most useful documents to help them develop their own policies in line with international good practice.
3

Activities listings

Member organisations are supported by OSPRI with activities including seminars, workshops and conferences. The listings section includes details of those events and allows visitors to download annual reports easily.
4

Style guide with design elements

In developing the design brief for the new website NB created and shared an OSPRI style guide which can be used by the client in future projects.
