Recent changes to Snapchat are worth keeping in mind if you want your business to stay on top of its social media game.
The innovative app company has recently introduced its Paperclip feature as a way to insert links into actual Snaps right before they’re shared. This new update to the platform provides users, brands and media companies an opportunity to direct traffic directly from the app to their own websites. The tool can be accessed via a paperclip icon added within Snapchat’s toolkit.
With this tool Snapchat is now a step ahead of Instagram, which restricts link sharing to users with more than 10,000 followers.
While we're on Snapchat, we should also mention its other three new features - the most recent ones being the Voice Filters, through which you can alter your voice, and Backdrops, which in turn allows you to modify the background of a Snap. There is also the platform’s Snap Map, which places users on a map and alerts you if your friends are nearby, and vice versa. All these add to Snapchat’s growing array of interactive tools, making it an even more lucrative digital marketing platform for brands.
These features are now made available worldwide for both iOS and Android.
