Small Business Saturday 2015

November 20, 2015

Small businesses are a vital part of Scotland's economical landscape. SME's account for 99.4% of all private sector enterprises in Scotland and employ over 1.2 million people.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. This is even more important in a community like Shetland where the inherently rural nature can provide additional challenges to sustainability.

The day itself takes place on the first shopping Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses. In 2015 Small Business Saturday will take place on Saturday, December 5th.

Wherever you are this Small Business Saturday, show your support by getting involved and supporting small businesses in your area. Find out who's taking part near you with the Small Business Finder. You may notice that our entry shows we are offering a free website review for anyone who gets in touch on the day. So if you are in need of some advice then contact us on 5th December and we'll get back to you.
