Alison creates beautiful handcrafted jewellery from her studio in the village of Dounby. She approached NB to update her existing website and to create a modern, secure ecommerce platform to showcase her collections.
"Alison Moore were keen to refresh the design of the site, to create a more contemporary look and feel and to showcase their products in the best possible way," explains NB project manager Amy Watton. "Increased flexibility was also welcome, providing a quicker and easier means of adding, editing and customising content for the homepage and other areas of the site."
Previously, you had to browse through multiple pages to see one product's variable options, such as gemstone and finish; now, you can click on one page and see the product and all the variables of that product available to you. It makes the customer experience so much more intuitive and the website easier to navigate."
"We've also incorporated an easier site navigation system, focusing on the mega menu in the top navigation, which is now categorised by Jewellery, Birthstones and Collections. Again, this makes it easier for customers to browse the site and go straight to the type of product they're looking for," says Amy.
The content management system we've built for Alison Moore is really user-friendly, so she can easily upload and categorise products and download reports, without ongoing IT support from NB.
The site was built with Shopify, one of the world's most popular ecommerce platforms, which means the customer ordering and payment process is slick and stress-free. Shopify also allows the client to easily track orders and payments in the back-end of the website.
