Eleanor Coutts

Eleanor is one of NB’s Project Managers.

After gaining a Master’s in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh Eleanor worked as a chemist in industry, before returning to Shetland.

On moving back to her island home Eleanor embarked on a career change, working on various creative projects, alongside a role in a rural GP surgery, the most notable of which was creating a digital sewing pattern to sell online.

She then took a short career break to be a stay-at-home parent to her young son.

Eleanor’s background has provided her with insight into a variety of sectors and has equipped her with excellent communication and organisational skills as well as an ability to work effectively across a range of disciplines.

Eleanor continues to grow her creative interests alongside her work at NB and has exhibited artwork in Shetland and Glasgow.

Outside work she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, walking, cooking, crafting, and making art.
