For travel information around the Shetland Isles there’s only one place that has it all. Simply visit travel.shetland.org for a complete selection of timetables and departures for buses, ferries and inter-island flights.
The site was developed in association with ZetTrans and Promote Shetland to provide the most useful travel information in an easily accessible format. Not just a mobile-friendly website, we also developed the app versions for iOS and Android, available for download from Google Play and the App Store.
We are currently working on a revamp of the app to make some big improvements and updates. Watch this space for more information or to hear about the release first, sign up to our mailing list.
CLD Planning
Community learning and development is a key part of all local authorities. So how do you find out exactly what activities are going on in your area and how does the local council know what support is needed to meet the needs of the community? That’s where CLD Planning comes in.
We were part of the team that turned an initial idea into a working solution for three local authorities in Scotland; Argyll and Bute, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils.
We hope that this system is adopted by more local authorities throughout Scotland to help increase engagement with communities on learning and development activities. You can take a look at the site at cldplanning.com and view the document libraries online.
CRM Systems
CRM stands for customer relationship management. It is an important tool in managing a company’s interaction with customers by using technology to organise, automate and synchronise data.
We have developed CRM systems for the likes of Orkney.com and Shetland.org, allowing them to maintain a useful and comprehensive database of customer details so that tasks such as mailing list management and customer service are much easier.
Shetland Folk Festival Booking System
The Shetland Folk Festival is known around the world for its lively atmosphere and variety of music across multiple venues throughout the islands. With so many venues and events to manage, the committee needed a reliable booking system to deal with memberships and event tickets. But there was no ‘off-the-shelf’ system that was flexible enough to meet their needs.
We designed a bespoke booking system from the ground up to provide an improved experience for festival-goers and reduce the administrative burden on the committee of volunteers.
The results have proved extremely popular and removed a lot of frustration compared to the previous system of paper forms.
Corporate ID
Any organisation needs a memorable visual identity so that customers can recognise the brand and relate to its purpose. For new businesses this often goes hand-in-hand with the development of a website. We’ve designed corporate identities for a number of organisations including Shetland Telecom, Orkney Renewable Energy Forum (OREF) and Shetland Development & Logistics.
The result of this process is not just a fancy logo, but a complete set of brand guidelines which can be used by anyone to consistently portray the company across a variety of visual materials.
